INTER FOOTBALL TEAMFootball is history, tradition, memory and passion, like "Ti amo" written on the wall of a stadium. And Milanese football is made up of two world class teams - Milan and l'Inter.
Football is a sport which is right up to date and projected into the future. Inter's victorious present features the Tim Italian Cup, won at the end of the 2004-'05 season, when the team beat Roma in the double final held on the 12th and 15th of June 2005. This marked the return of the black and blue's to cup victory, as they lifted up the second trophy since Massimo Moratti took over.
The national cup is back in the black and blue changing room after 23 years and, on Wednesday the 15th of June, the home crowd of the "Giuseppe Meazza" Stadium, got dressed up to celebrate and held a party with a precise meaning. "Our hope - the management, coaches, footballs and fans repeated in unison, - is that this Italian Cup is just the start, the launch pad for many more successes". The hope is tangible, given the performance of Mancini's team, which won the national trophy without being beaten, winning the final away match at Rome's "Olympic" Stadium with two goals scored by Adriano and the return match with a penalty taken by Sinisa Mihajlovic, adding to the team title the individual titles of Obafemi Martins, top scorer of the tournament with 6 goals in as many matches.
